Sanjay Traders

You can find Sanjay Traders right on the Main Road in Nardiganj. We are located very close to the Punjab National Bank, which makes it easy for people to stop in after they finish their bank work. We handle a lot of wholesale and retail goods here. The front of the shop is often piled high with bags and crates that just arrived. It can look a bit messy, but I know exactly where everything is. We deal mostly in bulk items for other small shops but we also sell directly to families in the area. The building has been in the family for years and we haven't changed much about how we do things. We use a simple scale and write down all the sales by hand. It keeps things honest. Sometimes the main road gets blocked with trucks, making it hard to unload, but we manage. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and trying to get the best stuff for the local market. It’s a noisy place with the bank customers and the traffic passing by, but we like the energy. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It is just a practical place to get your trading done. My brother and I run the show, and we have a couple of boys who help with the heavy lifting. It's a solid, everyday business for the people of Nardiganj. We enjoy being a part of this busy street.
