We have our shop, Dev & Dev Electric, on Gonawa Road. We are pretty close to the Balaji Heights buildings, which most people use as a landmark to find us. It’s a busy road and it can get a bit dusty when the big trucks go past. Inside the shop, we have shelves piled high with all sorts of electrical parts like wires, switches, sockets, and bulbs. It’s a bit of a squeeze to move around sometimes because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for the locals. We aren't a big chain store with a fancy showroom or a website. It’s just a practical place where people come when they have a problem with their house wiring or need a new fan or light fixture. We spend most of our time helping customers figure out what they need for their home repairs and giving them the right pieces. Sometimes the back room is a mess with old cardboard boxes and broken parts we haven't thrown out yet. We don't have a big team of workers or people in suits. It’s just a few of us here every day. We know the local electricians and the builders who come in for their supplies regularly. The work is straightforward and we like it that way. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate rules to follow. We just open the shop, sell the parts, and help out where we can. It’s a simple business.
