Jai Udham Sakhi Foundation

If you head out to the village of Jiuri in the Pakribarawa block of Nawada, that’s where you’ll find us. Jai Udham Sakhi Foundation is run from the home of Rambriksh Saw. We are out in the rural part of Bihar, so things move a bit slower here than in the big cities. Our office is just a simple space where we gather to talk about how to help the women and families in our village. It’s not a corporate office by any means. It’s more of a community gathering spot. We spend a lot of time out in the fields or visiting people at their homes rather than just sitting behind a desk. Since we are in the 805110 area, we deal with a lot of local issues that people in cities might not even think about. We don't have a big budget or fancy equipment. We just have our hands and our time. People know they can find us at Rambriksh’s place if they need anything. We don't do big advertisements. Word of mouth is how everyone knows about the foundation around here. It’s just us, working on small projects day by day. We like the quiet life in Jiuri and just want to make sure our neighbors are doing okay. That’s why we started this whole thing in the first place. It is just home.
