Ishbaran Foundation

Ajeet Kr Sinha runs the Ishbaran Foundation in Dobrapar, Nawada. He is the son of Badhan Lal, and the foundation operates out of the family area there. Nawada is a place with a lot of history and a lot of hard-working people. We are based right in the middle of it. The office is basically a part of the house, which makes it feel very welcoming for anyone who stops by. We do not have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. You just come in and talk to Ajeet. Most of our work is very hands-on. We spend a lot of time out in the village seeing how things are going. Dobrapar is a place where you have to be ready for anything. The weather can be tough sometimes, but we keep the office open anyway. We are just a small group of people. We do not have big funding or a lot of resources, but we do what we can with what we have. It is about being part of the community. We know the local problems because we live here too. There are no fancy mission statements on the walls. We just want to help our neighbors in Nawada. It is simple, honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening.
