Our shop is U-L-16 in the Ashoka Tower, which is near the Sandhikuva Gate on Station Road. This entire area is always moving and shaking. Being so close to the station means there is never a quiet moment from dawn until dusk. We see all kinds of people walking by our window every single day. The shop itself is a bit of a tight squeeze. We have metal racks lined up against every wall to hold the stock. Sometimes it is hard for two people to pass each other in the aisle without bumping shoulders. We have been at this location for a few years now. Before this, we were just selling things from a much smaller stall down the street. Ashoka Tower is an older building and the stairs are a bit steep for some. We spend our time tagging new items and talking to the regular customers who stop in. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks or flashy signs. We just show people whatever we have on the racks that day. Sometimes the tea stall from downstairs brings up a few cups for us when we look tired. It has a real community feel to it. We know all the other shopkeepers in the tower by name. We often share stories about the crazy traffic on Station Road while we wait for customers.
