We’ve been here in Navsari for a while now. The shop is usually full of boxes and stuffing because that’s just how it goes with plush toys. We don’t have a big fancy office, just a workspace where we get things done. Most days, it’s just the sound of the sewing machines and people talking over tea. We started because there wasn't much around here that felt soft and nice for kids. It gets dusty, and sometimes the shipments are late, but we manage. My cousin helps with the stitching and I handle the rest. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation. It's just a small place. People walk in from the street sometimes asking if we have a specific animal or a pillow. If we have the fabric, we try to make it work. Navsari is quiet, which suits us. The morning starts with opening the shutters and clearing off the tables from the day before. It’s not always organized. There are threads everywhere on the floor. You might see us grabbing lunch at the corner stall. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We don’t do big ads or anything like that. Word travels around the neighborhood. If someone likes what we made, they tell their neighbor. That’s how it’s been for years now. We just keep our heads down and keep sewing until the day is over. It is just a normal life for us here in our Navsari shop.
