Siddhivinayak Store

Our shop, Siddhivinayak Store, is located right near the Bus Station in Chikhli, Navsari. We are on Station Road, which is probably one of the busiest spots in the whole town. Because the buses are always coming and going, we get people from all over the district stopping in at all hours. It’s a very fast-paced environment for us. One minute the shop is completely empty, and the next, a big bus pulls in and twenty people are asking for different things at the same time. We have to be quick on our feet to serve everyone. The store isn't very big, so we have to use every inch of space on the walls to hang items and display our goods so people can see them quickly. Usually, the radio is playing in the background, but you can hardly hear it over the sound of the bus engines and the conductors shouting for passengers. We open up very early to catch the first commuters and stay open until the last buses have left for the night. My brother and I take turns behind the counter so the shop is never unattended. We sell a bit of everything—things that travelers might need or locals might want on their way home from work. It’s a lot of standing and moving around, but we enjoy the energy of being on Station Road. We don't have a big corporate story; we are just a local shop serving the people who pass through.
