Shree Janta Ice Cream

Our little shop is over in the A B Vajpay Shopping Centre on Gandevi Road. It’s right across from the Parsi Hospital, which helps people find us if they aren't from around Lunsikui. Being in Shop No.4 means we have a bit of a corner there. We moved in a few years back and just started selling ice cream. It’s a busy road, so there’s always cars and bikes going past. I spend a lot of time just refilling the tubs and checking the temperatures. Some days it’s quiet and I just sit and watch the traffic. Other days, like when the weather gets really hot, we can barely keep up with the orders. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working the shifts. It’s not a fancy cafe or anything. It’s just a place to grab a cone or a cup. I chose this spot because of the shopping center being right there. It makes sense for people who are done with their errands. We keep the floor swept and the glass clean. Sometimes the kids from the neighborhood come in with their spare change. It reminds me of when I was younger. We keep the flavors pretty standard, nothing too wild. It’s just honest work. The lights in the shopping center are bright at night, so we stay open a bit late for the evening crowd.
