Raj Earth Movers

Down here in Jamalpore, near the Dabu Hospital, things move at a certain pace. Raj Earth Movers has been set up near the Post Office for a while now. Navsari is where we do most of our work, even if the roads around here can be a bit rough sometimes. That’s probably why we are in this business in the first place. Our yard is usually full of grease and the smell of diesel. It’s not a clean job, and we don't pretend it is. My clothes usually have some kind of stain on them by noon. We get a lot of people stopping by because they saw us while going to the hospital or the post office. We don't do much advertising because everyone around here knows us anyway. Sometimes we sit outside when the weather is nice, just watching the bikes go past. It’s a practical way of living. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just take the orders and send the equipment out where it's needed. The paperwork is mostly kept in old metal cupboards that creak when you open them. It can get a bit disorganized when we have five things happening at once, but we always find what we need eventually. Jamalpore is a quiet place mostly, and we like being part of the local scene here near the hospital. We’ve been at this spot long enough that the hospital staff knows us by name. It's just a regular life.
