Nobel Offset

At Nobel Offset, things are usually pretty loud. The machines at C1B-207 have a specific rhythm once they get going. If you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of the ink. It is thick and stays on your clothes long after you go home. We spend a lot of time checking the colors and making sure the paper does not jam up. It happens more than we would like, especially when the weather is humid. We have got stacks of paper everywhere, some waiting to be cut and some already finished. It is a bit of a maze sometimes. We are not a huge corporation with fancy uniforms. Most of us just wear old shirts that we do not mind getting stained. Nobel Offset has been in this spot for a good while. We know the neighbors and they know the sound of our presses. When a big job comes in, we stay late and order some food. Those nights are long but the work gets done. There is a certain satisfaction in seeing a clean print come off the line. We do not do a lot of talking during the shift because you cannot hear much over the equipment anyway.
