Metro Industries

We've been over here at J-67/1 in the Gidc area for a while now. Metro Industries is just a small place where we handle the daily work without making a big fuss about it. The shop floor is usually pretty busy and there’s always a bit of dust around, but that is just how it goes when you’re making things. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. They know exactly where every tool is, even when things look a bit messy to an outsider. Most days we just show up early, get the machines running, and stay until the job is finished. It’s nothing fancy. Sometimes the power goes out or a delivery is late, and we just have to figure it out as we go. We don't spend much time on the computer or writing fancy reports. Most of our communication happens over a cup of tea or shouting over the noise of the equipment. It’s a practical way to run a business. We like being part of the local industrial estate. You get to know the neighbors and people stop by when they need something specific. It is just a regular workplace where we try to do decent work and get home to our families at the end of the day. Nothing more, nothing less.
