Manish Engg. Works

You can find Manish Engg. Works over at Plot No. 150, in the K1-1 section of the GIDC. It is a very typical industrial spot. We have machines running for most of the day, so there is always a constant hum of noise in the air. We do engineering work, which mostly means fixing broken equipment or making small metal parts for other factories nearby. It is greasy, dirty work, and you can usually tell that just by looking at our uniforms. We do not have a fancy lobby or a place for people to wait. You just walk through the side door and you are standing right in the middle of the workshop. My brother and I started this place with just one old lathe machine a long time ago. Now we have a few more pieces of equipment, but it is still a very small operation. We keep our important paperwork in a shoebox under the counter because the filing cabinets are already full. The GIDC is a busy, crowded place, and we actually like the energy of it. Sometimes we stay late into the evening to finish a job that needs to be delivered the next morning. We have a small radio that plays local songs while we work. We aren't a high-tech facility, but we know how to use our tools to get things right. It is just us doing what we know best.
