Civil Hospital Valsad

Civil Hospital Valsad is a busy place located on Dalal Street in Gandevi, inside the Navsari district. It’s a government hospital, so things are usually quite hectic from the moment the doors open. We have people coming in from all the nearby villages and the waiting rooms are rarely empty. The building itself has been around for a while and you can tell by looking at the walls. It isn't a fancy private clinic with soft chairs and quiet music. Instead, you hear the sounds of trolleys moving and people talking in the hallways. The staff here stays busy through their shifts, often eating lunch while standing up or finishing paperwork late into the evening. Dealing with health in this part of Gujarat means you see everything. Some days are harder than others, especially when the weather is hot and the fans are just pushing warm air around. We try to get through the daily list of patients as best as we can. It’s a lot of routine stuff, checking fever or looking at old injuries. We don’t have much time for small talk, but we know the regulars who come in every month. Life at the hospital on Dalal Street is just about getting the work done and hoping the next day is a bit calmer than the last one, even though it usually isn't. We just take it one patient at a time and do what we can with the tools we have.
