Wockhardt Hospitals

Out here in Vashi, things feel a bit more spread out than in the main city. Sterling Wockhardt Hospital is right on the Sion Panvel Expressway in Sector 7. You can see the cars flying by from the windows. It’s a landmark for people driving in toward Mumbai. I’ve been working here a while, and you get to know the rhythm of the place. Sector 7 is a decent area. There are some shops and places to eat nearby. The hospital itself is a big structure. It has that specific hospital smell, you know, like bleach and medicine. We spend our shifts moving between wards. It’s not very exciting work most of the time. It’s checking monitors, filling out logs, and making sure the beds are made right. We have a lot of staff, so you’re always bumping into someone you know. We talk about the commute or the weather. When it gets really hot in the summer, the building is a relief because of the cooling. Sometimes the machines beep for no reason and you have to go reset them. It’s just how it goes. People come in worried, and we just try to be a calm face for them. We don't have fancy speeches. We just tell them where to go and what to do. It’s a solid place to work if you don't mind the long hours. We just keep it going.
