Being in the MIDC zone means it’s always loud with the sound of factories and trucks. Our building is a standard industrial shed. We have the heavy switchgear units lined up on the floor. It’s a lot of metal and wiring. We spend the day checking connections and making sure everything is built to the right specs. It’s not clean work. Your hands usually get a bit of oil or grime on them by noon. We have a small office section partitioned off where we do the billing and talk to customers. It’s got a window that looks out onto the workshop floor. We like to see what’s going on out there. The rain can be really loud on the metal roof during the monsoon. We’ve had to patch a few leaks over the years. We don't have a receptionist. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up.
