Global Timber

If you walk into the timber market in Koparkhairne, you will find us at Plot No. 79. The whole area smells like fresh wood and sawdust all day long. Sector 1 A is always full of big trucks and wood being moved around by hand or crane. We have various types of timber piled up in the yard. Some of it has been sitting there for a while waiting for the right buyer to come along. It's a family-run kind of thing. My father started this business and now I'm the one here most days. The yard is big enough for our needs but it gets very cramped when a new shipment comes in. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing. Most people just walk in off the street or give us a call on the landline. The office is just a small corner of the shed with a desk and a few plastic chairs. We spend a lot of time outside checking the quality of the logs and measuring things. It's physical work and your clothes get dirty and your hands get rough by noon. Vikas Nagar is a very busy part of town. Sometimes the traffic is so bad that it takes forever to get a delivery truck out of the gate. We just keep moving and do what needs doing. It's a simple life selling wood to local builders. We are not trying to be the biggest yard in the city. We just want to keep the business running.
