Working out of APMC Market I in Vashi is an experience you don't forget. Scotch Agro India is situated in Phase-II, specifically in Sector-19. If you’ve ever been to the APMC, you know it’s chaos from four in the morning. Trucks are everywhere, people are shouting prices, and there’s the smell of fresh produce and dry goods in the air. We are part of that whole system. Our space is functional, meant for moving goods, not for looking pretty. There are sacks and crates stacked up, and we spend a lot of our time checking the quality of what’s coming in from the farms. Sector-19 is a busy part of the market, so there’s never really a quiet moment until late in the evening. We don't have fancy office chairs or air conditioning that works all the time. It’s mostly about the hustle of the trade. We deal with suppliers and buyers all day long. Some days the market is slow, other days we can't keep up with the pace. That’s just the nature of agro-business in India. We've been in this spot long enough to know the other traders and the loaders. It’s a tough environment, very physical and very fast, but it’s what we do. We don't try to be anything other than a working part of the Vashi market. It's dusty work but it's ours.
