The Learning Curve, Kamothe

Our little center is based out of some shops and a flat in Sai Prerna Apartment, right here in Sector 19 of Kamothe. It’s not your typical school building with a big gate and a flag. Instead, we’re part of the ground floor of the apartment complex. It makes us very easy to find for anyone living in the area. We have shop numbers one through four and one of the flats on the first floor. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we’ve arranged the rooms so there’s enough space for the activities. You can hear the sounds of the street outside, like the delivery bikes or people going to the market. We like being right in the middle of everything. The kids don't have to go far to get here. We have some colorful mats on the floor and shelves full of toys and books for the little ones. It feels more like a home than a formal office or school. The walls are covered with drawings and bits of paper the children have worked on. We don't have a big fancy staff, just a few of us who show up every day to look after the kids. We spend a lot of time on the floor playing or reading stories. It’s a busy, noisy, and happy little spot in Kamothe. We don't try to be anything we’re not. We’re just a local place where parents can leave their kids, knowing they’re close by and looked after in a simple way.
