Our factory is tucked inside the estate where we’ve been making wiper systems for a long time. It’s an industrial vibe through and through. We have the smell of rubber and the sound of stamping machines all day long. We spend a lot of time making sure the tension is right on the arms. It’s a specific kind of work that most people don't think about until it starts raining and they can't see the road. We have a small team, and most of us have been here for years. We know the machines by their sounds. Sometimes a part gets stuck or the power flutters, but we just deal with it and keep going. We don’t have any marketing brochures lying around. We just have crates ready for shipping. It’s loud, it’s a bit greasy, and there’s always a truck trying to back into a tight spot in the driveway.
