Snow Shine Chemicals

Unit No. 213 in Shankeshwar Height is where we do our mixing. Being in Sector 11 of Kharghar means we are in a pretty modern part of the area, but inside our unit, it is all business. Snow Shine Chemicals is not a huge operation. We have various drums and containers stacked up along the walls. The floor is kept as clean as possible, but you can’t help having a few spills when you are pouring liquids all day. We wear our gloves and gear and just get on with the batches. It can get a bit stuffy because of the chemicals, so we keep the vents running all the time. The sound of the exhaust fans is like background music for us. We handle a lot of the labeling ourselves, sticking them on the bottles by hand when the orders come in. It is mostly a lot of measuring and pouring and checking the consistency of what we make. Sometimes the office work gets backed up because we are too busy in the back with a big order. We don't have a fancy reception area. If someone visits, they usually just talk to us through the door or step into the small space we cleared for the computer. It’s just a practical place where we make stuff that people need for their own businesses. We don't spend money on fancy things, we just buy better containers and more raw materials to keep the production line moving along.
