Running an accounting firm out of Kalamboli keeps me pretty busy most of the year. We are located in the Gurusankalp Housing Society, specifically at Plot No 31 in Sector 1. If you come up to C 206, that is where you will find us. Being in Navi Mumbai means dealing with the Panvel traffic quite often, but the Raigad district has its own pace that I’ve grown to appreciate over time. The office itself is filled with folders and tax documents, which is pretty much what you would expect from a CA firm. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It is just a practical space where we sit down and look at the numbers. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it’s just the sound of calculators and clicking keyboards. My associates and I have worked together for a while, and we just try to keep everyone’s books in order without making it more complicated than it needs to be. The society is usually quiet during the middle of the day, which helps when we really need to focus on a difficult file. We get our lunch from the nearby stalls sometimes, and the tea guy knows exactly how we like our brew. It’s a decent place to work, and being part of the local community here makes the long hours during audit season feel a bit more manageable for everyone involved.
