Our mill is located at A8/1 in the MIDC area of Taloja. If you know Taloja, you know it’s a big industrial zone. We do re-rolling, which is heavy, hot work. The machines are massive and they make a lot of noise when they are running. We deal with steel and metal, moving them through the rollers to get them to the right shape. The air inside the shed is always warm. We have a lot of workers who have been with us for years. They know the sounds of the machines and can tell if something is a bit off just by listening. It’s a very industrial environment. There is dust and the smell of metal everywhere. We don’t have fancy offices; the main desk is just in a small partitioned area near the entrance. We focus on the production schedule. Taloja can be a bit out of the way, but it’s where all the industry is, so it makes sense for us to be here. We get big trucks coming in with raw materials and leaving with the finished rolls. It’s a constant cycle. We eat our lunch together near the back where it’s a bit quieter. It’s tough work, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep the rollers turning and make sure the orders are ready on time. We often have to work in shifts to keep the furnace going. It’s the kind of place where you learn by doing. Everyone looks out for each other on the floor. It’s just how we operate. We don't have much to say to visitors, as the work speaks for itself.
