Our place is over at D-37, 4, in the TTC Industrial Area in Turbhe. It’s right on the MIDC Thane Belapur Road, which is basically a massive highway for trucks and all sorts of big vehicles. Being a dairy company, our schedule is a bit different from most businesses around here. Things start very early in the morning when the fresh milk arrives. The air around here often has that heavy, industrial feel you get in Turbhe, but we mostly focus on what’s happening inside our own walls. We have specialized equipment for processing and cooling, and there’s always a hum in the background from the refrigeration units running all day. It’s definitely not a quiet place to work. Workers are constantly moving around in their uniforms, and there’s a lot of cleaning to be done to keep everything up to a decent standard. We handle a lot of volume, so the loading docks are almost always busy with some vehicle or another. Sometimes the traffic on the Belapur road makes things really difficult for our drivers, but we manage to get by. The office part is just a few rooms where we keep track of the accounts and the milk collection routes. It’s a straightforward business for us. We don’t have time for a lot of fluff or corporate talk because the milk doesn’t wait for anyone. It’s about getting the product processed and out to the shops as fast as possible.
