National Scrap

We are over here at National Scrap, right across from the Krishna Hotel in Ambedkar Nagar. It stays pretty busy on Pfizer Road because of the Pcc Quarry and everything else going on around Turbhe Naka. Most days it’s just us sorting through things and dealing with whatever piles come in through the gate. There is a lot of dust from the road and the big trucks keep moving in and out all the time. It gets loud and hot but we just keep at it. People know where we are because of the hotel landmark, so if you’re heading toward the quarry you’ll see our yard. We have been in this spot for a bit now. Sometimes the traffic gets backed up near the hotel and it makes moving our stuff a bit difficult. It is a simple operation really, nothing fancy about it at all. We just handle the scrap and try to stay organized, even if it looks a bit messy to someone just passing by. The yard is usually full of piles that need to be weighed and sorted before they go anywhere else. It is honest work and it keeps us on our feet throughout the whole day. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. Just the yard and the equipment we use every day to get the job done. It's basically just how things go around here in Turbhe Naka. You get used to the noise and the pace of the industrial area quickly.
