Mahape is a long way for some of us to travel, but we get to Plot EL-36 in the TTC Industrial Area every morning. It is a big zone with lots of electronics companies and factories around. Our place is not very loud, but there is always something humming in the background from the machines. We spend most of the time looking at various instruments and making sure everything is working like it should be. The air in the MIDC zone is a bit heavy with the smell of industry, but you stop noticing it after a few months. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how the lunch break goes and who likes the food from the nearby canteen. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that, just the workspace where the actual jobs get done. Sometimes we have to stay a little late if a big shipment is coming in or going out. It is just regular work in a regular part of Navi Mumbai. The weather gets really humid in the afternoons, so we keep the ceiling fans going at full speed. It is a bit of a walk from the main road to our specific plot number, so we usually just stay inside once we get here. We are just a group of people handling detection instruments and keeping the paperwork straight. It is practical and straightforward, which is how we like to keep it every day.
