Krashi Fertilizers Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away in Sector 15. It is a little bit unusual because our office is located inside the Parijat Co-Operative Housing Society at No. 1/1/22. It doesn’t look like an industrial company from the outside at all. People often walk right past the entrance because it looks just like any of the other residential apartments in the building. Dealing with fertilizers while being based in a town like Kharghar means we spend a lot of our time on the phone or managing the logistics of deliveries from our other sites. The office is small and a bit cramped. We keep all our files in these old metal cabinets that squeak every single time you open a drawer. Most of the people who work here live in the nearby sectors, so we usually just walk or catch a rickshaw to get to the office. It is relatively quiet compared to the main roads nearby. Sometimes the neighbors stop by to ask what we are doing with all the ledgers. We just handle the distribution side of the business from here. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons when the fans aren't enough. We have a small table where we all sit to eat our lunch together. It isn't a fancy setup, just some desks, an old computer, and a lot of paper. We just focus on the daily tasks of coordinating supplies for the farmers.
