Khopkar Hospital

Khopkar Hospital is located at plot number 25 in Sector 7, Vashi. Sector 7 is a residential part of Vashi, so it is a bit quieter than the big markets. We have been here for several years. The building is a simple concrete structure. We have a small garden area in front, but it is mostly just a few potted plants we try to water. Inside, we have rooms for patients to stay. It is a small hospital, more like a nursing home setup. We have a small staff of nurses who live nearby. The reception is just a desk with a telephone and a big ledger book. We still write things down by hand quite a bit. Vashi is a big place, but our corner of Sector 7 feels like a small village. We know the people who live in the surrounding plots. Sometimes they just stop by to say hello or ask a question. The rooms are basic. We have metal beds and small cupboards for people to put their clothes in. We keep the windows open for fresh air, so you can hear the birds in the morning. It is not a fancy private hospital with air conditioning in every corner.
