Our facility is situated at R-50-52 in the TTC Industrial Area, right along the MIDC Pipeline Road. This is a heavy industrial zone, so it is quite different from the commercial streets in the city. There are big trucks moving in and out all day, and the sound of machinery is pretty much the background noise we live with. We have a lot of space here, which is necessary because glass takes up a lot of room and needs to be handled carefully. The building is a big warehouse-style structure with high ceilings and concrete floors. We spend our shifts moving crates, checking the glass for any flaws, and getting things loaded for transport. It can get very dusty on the pipeline road, especially when the weather is dry. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any decorative stuff. The focus is entirely on the work happening on the floor. Most of our staff have been with us for a while, and we all just know the routine. It’s a practical environment where everyone has a job to do. We usually have lunch together in a small break area we set up in the corner. It is a straightforward operation without any frills. We are out here to do the work and keep the supply moving to our clients. It is just the way an industrial plant like ours should be, focused and busy.
