You’ll find Gold Tree Nuts at C-25 in the APMC Market I over in Vashi. If you’ve ever been to the Vashi market, you know how crazy it gets in the early mornings. We are right in the middle of all that action. There are sacks of nuts everywhere and the smell of cashews and almonds is pretty strong. We spend most of our time weighing things out and talking to the traders who come through. It’s a lot of shouting and haggling sometimes, but that’s just how the market works. Our stall isn’t very big, so we have to be smart about how we stack the bags. We’ve been in this spot for years and know most of the other vendors around us. We get here before the sun is up to start unloading the new shipments. The floor is usually covered in dust and bits of shells. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where people come to see what we have. It’s a hard way to make a living, but it’s honest work. We just try to get the good nuts we can find and sell them for a fair price. By the afternoon, we’re usually exhausted and ready to close up the shutters. The tea stall guy nearby knows our order by heart. We just do our business bag by bag and day by day until the market closes. It gets loud and hot but we just keep at it.
