Gavali Hospital

People come in all day at Gavali Hospital here in Rabale. It's not a fancy place, just a regular hospital where we try to help out as much as we can. Sometimes it gets really crowded in the mornings when the trains are running busy and everyone is moving around the station area. We've been here for a bit now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint maybe, but the equipment works and that is what really matters at the end of the day. My desk is usually covered in papers and some old coffee mugs that I forget to wash. We see a lot of families from around the area. Some days are long, especially when the heat gets bad in the afternoon and the air feels heavy. We have a few wooden benches outside where people sit and wait their turn. It’s mostly local folks coming in for checkups or when their kids get a fever. We don't have a big PR team or anything like that. Just us working. The street outside can get noisy with all the traffic, but inside we keep things moving as best as we can. I usually bring my lunch from home and eat it quick between patients. It's a busy life in Rabale. We know most of the shopkeepers nearby and they know us. If you walk past the main gate, you'll see our sign. It's nothing special to look at, but we are here every single day. It’s just how things are at Gavali Hospital.
