Fountain Consumer Appliances Ltd.

The office is based at Belmont on Upasi Road. It’s an interesting spot because it doesn't feel like a typical industrial area. We handle a lot of different home appliances here, so there are always boxes of kettles or irons being moved around. The building itself has a bit of character, being called Belmont. Most of us have been working here for a few years, so we’ve gotten into a steady rhythm. We start early in the morning, getting the inventory checked and seeing what orders need to go out. Upasi Road can get a bit congested during the rainy season, but it’s a nice enough area to work in. Sometimes it feels like we are more of a warehouse than a corporate office, but that’s the nature of the appliance business. We have a small area in the back where we can test the products to make sure they actually turn on. It’s not a high-tech lab or anything, just some plugs and a sturdy table. We don't really do big meetings; we just talk over the desks when something needs to be decided. It’s a practical way of doing things. The staff here is local, so we all know the shortcuts to avoid the traffic when heading home. It's just a regular business day, every day, dealing with the nuts and bolts of consumer goods. We usually keep a kettle going ourselves for tea in the afternoon, which seems appropriate given what we sell.
