Our place, Electro Care (India) Pvt. Ltd., is right across from the Turbhe Railway Station. If you’ve ever been on the Thane-Belapur Road, you know how hectic it gets during rush hour. We are tucked inside the Punit Industrial Co. Op. Soc. at unit C-114. It’s a convenient spot because of the trains, though the noise is always there in the background. Most of us take the local train and then walk across. The society has a lot of small units like ours, so there’s always someone moving boxes or fixing a machine nearby. Inside our unit, it's mostly about the work on the benches. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone in a suit to greet you. It’s usually just one of us looking up from a project when the door opens. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the desks are a bit cluttered with tools and notes. It feels like a real workshop. We deal with the usual issues of being in Turbhe, like the traffic and the humid weather, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized, even when things get a bit chaotic with several jobs going at once. It’s a honest way to earn a living, right here by the station where everything is moving fast. We aren't doing anything fancy, just our daily work in a busy industrial society.
