Deluxe Agro Industries

Out here at Plot No.146/147 in Kamothe, Panvel, things stay pretty busy. We are quite close to the Mahatma Gandhi Mission Hospital, which makes it easy for people to locate the gate. Being in the J.C.I.E. area, we are surrounded by all sorts of industrial units. Our focus is mainly on agro-related equipment and parts. It’s a large plot, so we have space for the bigger items we work on. The air usually smells like metal and sometimes there’s a bit of dust from the materials. We aren't big on fancy talk or complicated systems here. We just come in, check the schedule, and start on the manufacturing or assembly work. The floor is usually covered in scraps or tools, and we tidy up when we can. Working in the agro sector means we deal with some heavy stuff that has to stand up to a lot of wear and tear. It’s practical work. Most of our guys have been living around Panvel for a long time, so they just walk or bike in. We drink tea in the mid-morning and then get back to it. It’s a straightforward operation where everyone knows their role. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to for an order. Mostly, it's just about getting the hands dirty and making sure the machines are moving as they should.
