If you look across from the Bank of Maharashtra in CBD Belapur, you will see our shop at No 3 in Sector No 1. It is a busy part of Navi Mumbai, so there is always a lot of noise from the buses and cars driving by. Inside the shop, things are a bit different and quieter. We have stacks of electronic parts and old gadgets waiting to be looked at by someone. There are wires tangling up in the corners and the smell of solder is pretty common when we are working. We spend a lot of time bent over workbenches with tiny screwdrivers and magnifying glasses to see the small bits. It is the kind of work that requires a lot of patience and steady hands. Sometimes a repair takes much longer than we thought because a specific part is hard to find in the market. The shelves are filled with boxes of different sizes, and we try to keep them labeled so we don't lose track of anything important. The bank across the street is a good landmark for people who are coming here for the first time. We have a small television that stays on in the background, usually showing the news or some old movie. Our counter is made of dark wood and has a few scratches from years of moving heavy equipment across it. The floor is concrete and shows some wear and tear from all the boots. It is just a regular electronics shop where we deal with capacitors and boards every single day until closing time.
