Arte Interors

Our shop is tucked away at A- 1185 in Mirchi Galli, which is a busy little spot in Old Panvel. If you walk past the Ram Mandir, you will probably smell the spices from the market before you see our sign. Arte Interors is basically a room full of wood samples, catalogs, and a few dusty chairs where we sit down to talk about projects. The floor is usually covered in some kind of sawdust or bits of laminate we cut earlier in the day. It is not the kind of place where everything is polished and perfect. We have an old desk in the corner that is buried under sketches and measuring tapes. Most days, it is just the sound of the traffic outside and the occasional bell from the temple. We spend a lot of our time out at work sites, so the shop is often locked up for a few hours in the middle of the day. When we are here, we are usually arguing about which hinge is better or trying to find a specific shade of paint for a client. The walls have some scuff marks from moving big boards around, but that’s just part of the job. It feels like home to us, even with the cramped space and the heat. We just keep working through the list of things to do and try to keep the coffee pot full for the afternoon.
