Apex Engineering is located at Plot No. Pap/A-7 in the M.I.D.C. area of Mahape. If you know Mahape, you know how it is. It’s all industrial sheds and big lorries blocking the roads. Our plot isn’t the biggest, but we make use of every inch. We have the heavy machinery on the ground floor and a small mezzanine where we keep the records and have our tea. The heat in Mahape can be something else during May, so we have a few big industrial fans that never seem to stop. It’s loud, it’s dusty, and there’s always something being welded or grinded down. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and find someone. Usually, I’m at the back checking on the latest batch of parts. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The walls are a bit stained from the smoke and oil, but that’s just how an engineering shop looks. We handle the drawings that come in, figure out the best way to cut the metal, and get to it. Some days are longer than others, especially when a machine acts up or a delivery is late. We just deal with it as it comes. It’s a straightforward life here. We do the work, lock up the gate at night, and come back to do it again the next day. It's a lot of sweat and grease, but that's how it goes in Mahape.
