Akasaka Electronics Ltd. is located in the MIDC TTC Industrial Area in Pawane. Our spot is C-107. If you’ve ever been to Navi Mumbai, you know this part of town is basically the engine room of the region. There are wires and pipes everywhere and the roads are built for heavy trucks. Our building is a standard industrial block. It’s got some age to it, but it holds everything we need. The work floor is where most of the action is. We handle a lot of electronic manufacturing, so it stays pretty busy from 9 to 6. The commute from the nearest station can be a bit of a pain, especially when it’s monsoon season and the roads get flooded, but we all make it in. Inside, the atmosphere is pretty casual. We don't go in for corporate speeches or big meetings. We just look at what needs to get done for the day and we do it. There’s a lot of testing and re-testing that goes on, so you’ll see people hunched over benches for hours. The office part is just a few desks pushed together with some old computers and a lot of logbooks. We keep the windows shut because of the noise from the nearby factories, so it can get a bit stuffy. It’s just a regular, honest workplace where we focus on our daily production targets.
