A1 Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd. is located at R-907 in the MIDC area of Rabale. It’s a typical industrial spot where you can hear the trains passing by and the sound of other factories nearby. Our workshop is mostly focused on the machines we use to make tools, so there is always a lot of oil and metal scraps around. We have a few older machines that still work perfectly and some newer ones that we are still getting used to. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment packed into the floor area. Our office is just a glass-partitioned section where the invoices and drawings are kept. It gets pretty dusty, so we are always cleaning the desks, but the dust always comes back. The guys working here are good at what they do, even if they aren’t the types to talk a lot. We mostly just focus on the work orders and making sure the lathes are calibrated right. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of being in this area. We don’t have a website that we update or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing where we are and what we can do. It’s a busy place, and there is always something that needs fixing or adjusting before the day is over.
