Zill Parishad

This office is located at the V.V. Nikam Panchayat Samiti building in Mahad. We are part of the local administration for the Raigad district here in Maharashtra. If you come by, you’ll see it is a typical government-style setup with plenty of files and people waiting their turn. We handle a lot of the local affairs for the Mahad Taluka. It is often quite busy with people from the nearby villages coming in to get their paperwork sorted or to ask about different local projects. The building itself has seen a lot of years, and it has that specific smell of old paper and ink. Our staff is mostly from around Raigad, so we know the local issues pretty well. We don't have fancy furniture or high-tech gadgets everywhere. It’s mostly just wooden desks and big registers where we write everything down. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or work by the windows where there is more light. Working in a Panchayat Samiti means you see a bit of everything. We try to help everyone who walks through the door, even if the process takes a bit of time. It’s a community-focused environment where the pace depends on how many people show up that morning. We just keep things running as best as we can for the people of Mahad through our work at Zill Parishad. It is a humble place to be.
