Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd.

Our place here in Nampur, over in the Satana area of Nasik, is a bit different from the big city offices. Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd. has roots in many places, and this is one of them. Being out here in the district, things move at a slightly different pace, but the work is still the same. We focus on getting things built right. People around here know us as the ones always busy with some project or another. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather gets rough or supplies take time to reach us. But we figure it out. That is how things work in Nasik. We have a crew that’s been together for some time now. We talk over tea in the mornings about what needs doing for the day. It’s very practical. No one is wearing suits here. We’re mostly in boots and work clothes. The office handles the local coordination and makes sure the guys at the sites have what they need. Sometimes we have to travel a bit to reach the different spots where the work is actually happening. It’s a lot of driving on bumpy roads, but you get used to it. We just want to do a decent job so we can head home at the end of the day feeling like we accomplished something. It’s a quiet life compared to Mumbai, but we like it that way. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the land.
