Prothious Engg.Ltd. is situated in Makhamalabad, which is in the Nashik district. Our specific spot is near Shivaji Chowk. It’s a very local feel out here compared to being in the heart of a big metro city. You can hear the sounds of the market and the traffic from the chowk throughout the day. We do engineering work, mostly focused on the technical requirements of local and regional projects. The office is practical and doesn't have any of those modern glass walls or fancy coffee machines. We just have our workstations and a place to sit and talk through problems. Nashik has a certain pace to it that we’ve gotten used to. Some mornings we start early to avoid the midday heat. We deal with a lot of structural stuff and mechanical details. It’s honest work that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait or use the backup for a bit. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around, just one that does its job right in this part of Maharashtra. The community around Shivaji Chowk is tight-knit. We see the same faces every day at the tea stall. It’s a good environment for the kind of work we do, keeping us grounded in the actual physical reality of engineering and construction.
