Our office is on the first floor of the Veera Building in Shanti Park. It’s right there on the Nasik-Pune Road, which is pretty convenient if you’re traveling between the two cities. The building is okay, though the stairs could use a bit of a scrub sometimes. Upnagar is a busy part of Nasik, and there’s always a lot of dust from the road. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and files. We do a lot of technical work related to recycling and materials, so there are always reports and data sheets lying around. It’s a bit of a commute for some of us, but we’re used to it by now. The tea lady comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break and talk about something other than work. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights outside. People usually find us because they need what we do, not because they saw an ad. It gets quite cold in Nasik during the winter mornings, so we’re usually bundled up in sweaters for the first few hours of the day. The internet goes out occasionally when it rains hard, which can be frustrating, but we manage to get things done eventually. It’s a straightforward operation here. We just come in, do the work that needs doing, and head home to our families. We've been here long enough that the security guard knows us by name. It's just a regular office where we try to do a good job without making a big deal of it.
