Patange

Our place is situated along that stretch between Nasik and Pune, right in the 41139 area. It is a busy route with a lot of trucks and cars passing by at all hours of the day and night. Being Patange, we’ve sort of become a fixture in this local spot. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical structure that serves its purpose for our daily operations. We spend a lot of time watching the traffic go by while we handle our business. Some days the wind kicks up a lot of dust from the road, so we are always cleaning things off. It is a family-run kind of atmosphere here, even if we aren't all actually related. We know the regular faces who stop in and the delivery drivers who make their rounds every week. There aren't any big speeches or mission statements pinned to the walls. We just show up in the morning, open the doors, and see what the day brings us. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, chatting under the shade of the porch. It’s a slow-paced life in some ways, despite being so close to the highway. We don't feel the need to rush things or act like we are some big corporation. We just take care of the tasks in front of us and try to be helpful to anyone who comes around asking for directions or help with something.
