We are out here in Lon Charam, which is part of Amalner in the Jalgoan district. Nishant Builders & Developers has been rooted in this rural area for quite some time. It is a small place where everyone mostly knows what everyone else is doing. Our office is not much to look at, just a simple room with a couple of chairs and a big table for maps. We do most of our work across the local villages and the main town area. Life moves a bit slower here compared to the big cities like Mumbai or Pune. We spend a lot of time traveling between sites on our motorbikes. The dust gets everywhere, especially in the summer heat which can be quite intense in Jalgoan. We usually deal with small housing projects or helping folks with their land issues. There is not any fancy marketing here; we just talk to people at the market or after work. My brother and I run things together. We learned the trade from watching others in the district over the years. It is hard work but it feels good to see a house go up where there was just dirt before. We do not have a big staff, just some local workers we have known for years.
