Nimgaon Parisar Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Nimhaon, which is part of the Malegaon Taluka in Nasik. Our address is basically Gojrabai Motiram Nandale’s place, Gno 1129. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly about the land and the weather. We aren't doing anything flashy here. We just gather up what the farmers in the Nimgaon area are growing and try to find a decent way to get it to market. Nasik can get pretty dry, so we spend a lot of time worrying about the rains. There’s a group of us who decided that working together was better than everyone trying to do it on their own. It’s not like we have a big staff. It’s just neighbors and family members helping out when the harvest comes in. We use the space at Gojrabai’s to store things or just meet up to talk about the prices. Sometimes we have long meetings that don't go anywhere, but that’s just part of being a local company. We don’t use any of those big words you see on TV. We just know about onions, grapes, or whatever else is in season. The goal is just to keep the farms running and make sure the people in Malegaon can keep doing what they’ve done for generations. It’s basic, honest work and we don’t pretend it’s anything else.
