We are based in the Sanmitra Housing Society, which is situated right behind the State Bank of India in Malegaon. Being located in a housing society gives the office a much more personal feel than being on a main commercial street. It’s usually a bit quieter here, although you still hear the city life of Nashik filtering in from the main roads. The office is a simple one, and we share the space with all our files and equipment. Because we are right behind the bank, it’s actually quite easy to give people directions when they are trying to find us for the first time. We’ve been here for a while and have a good relationship with the other people in the society. The pace of work here in Malegaon is steady. We spend our mornings getting through the mail and updating our project logs. In the afternoons, we usually have a few people coming in for meetings or just to drop off documents. The weather in the Nashik district is usually pretty decent, though it gets quite rainy during the monsoon season. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just a small one so people know they’re in the right place. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense environment where we just focus on doing our jobs every day without any fuss. It’s just us doing our thing in a corner of Malegaon.
