VISHWA NURSERY

Down in Nashik, near the Medical College Fata, you’ll find us at Vishwa Nursery. We’re right next to Mauli Nursery in Adgaon. It’s a green spot in a busy area. We spend most of our time out in the dirt, tending to the saplings and making sure the plants are getting enough water. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is beating down in the summer. We’ve got everything from fruit trees to small flowering plants. It isn't a high-tech setup. We use basic tools and a lot of manual labor to keep the rows neat. My hands are usually covered in soil by the end of the day, but that’s part of the job. People from the city drive out here looking for something to put in their gardens or balconies. We don't have a big sales pitch. We just show them what’s growing well and tell them how to keep it alive. Sometimes the bugs get to a batch of plants and we have to start over, which is frustrating but that's just nature for you. The area near the medical college is growing fast, so we see a lot of new faces. We like the quiet life here among the leaves. It’s a lot of watering, weeding, and waiting. But when things bloom, it’s worth the effort. It takes a lot of patience to run a nursery, but we wouldn't do anything else.
