Vidyansh Masala

We are located in Village Dhargaon, specifically on the road near Mapar Dhargaon. Our business, Vidyansh Masala, is all about the spices we prepare right here. It’s a small operation, and the whole place usually smells like cumin and chili powder. We spend a lot of our time drying out the raw materials and then grinding them down. It’s loud when the machines are running, so we usually do that in the mornings. We aren't a big factory or anything. It’s just a few of us working in a small shed-like building. We sell to the local villagers and sometimes to small shops in the neighboring areas. The dust from the spices can get everywhere, so we have to wear covers over our hair and faces while we work. It’s hard work, and the heat in the summer makes it even tougher, but it’s what we know how to do. My family has been involved with spices for a long time. We don't have fancy packaging with bright colors; we mostly put things in plain plastic bags and seal them up. People buy from us because they know it’s handled right here in Dhargaon. We don't do any delivery; people usually just come by the house or the work area to pick up what they need. It’s a very local thing, and we like keeping it that way. We just keep our heads down and get the work done every day.
