Vidya Vahini is located right near the Tahsil Campus in Korao, which is a pretty convenient spot since there are always people moving around that area. I usually start my day by sweeping the front step because the wind blows a lot of dirt around the campus grounds. Our space isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit enough shelves for all the materials we keep. Being so close to the government offices means we get all sorts of people walking in, some looking for forms and others just asking for directions. I like the energy of Korao, even if it gets a bit overwhelming when the Tahsil office is particularly busy. We don't have any flashy lights or a big corporate logo. It’s just a simple door with the name Vidya Vahini on it. Most of the time, I’m sitting behind the small counter checking through papers or organizing the stock. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when I take a break. The walls are a little bare, but I’ve pinned up a few calendars and notes to keep track of things. It’s a practical place for practical work. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a few minutes while they wait for their appointments across the street. It’s that kind of place. We’ve been here for a while and most people in Korao know where to find us. I think the location helps a lot.
