Vaishnavi Masala

Vaishnavi Masala is located at Flat No-5 in Pride Residency. We are right by Taran Talav and not too far from Datta Mandir Road here in Nashik. It is a small operation we run out of this flat. Often the whole place smells like ground spices, which I guess is expected when you deal with masala all day. We spend most of our mornings checking the quality of the ingredients we get. It isn't a big factory or a retail shop with glass windows. It’s more of a home-based thing where we handle the packing and the distribution ourselves. My family helps out quite a bit when things get hectic during the festival seasons. The neighbors in Pride Residency are mostly used to the sounds of our machines by now. We chose this spot because it's convenient for us to live and work in the same general area. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a bit of trouble finding the exact building near the pond, so we have to go out and wave them down. It’s just how we do things here. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just prepare the masala and try to get it to the shops on time. Dealing with the spice market in Nashik keeps us on our toes. There’s always something to weigh or a bag to seal. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is simple but it keeps us very busy.
